Control Material Flow from a Safe Distance

Flooding is often a problem in Grand Forks, North Dakota. As a result, levy and dike work has occupied a large part of operator Lonni Peterson's time. When backfilling near these types of structures, it is important to keep rocks and heavy dirt clogs from falling against them. The wings on the Rockit™ Power Blade™ allow an operator to control material flow from a safe distance, making it the perfect attachment for this type of application.

Peterson notes that the wings on the Rockit™ blade allow you to control the flow
of material when working up close to delicate structures.

With a regular blade, you've got to make sure your chunks don't roll in. And because the standard blade is so narrow and you have to keep the weight away from the structure, you can't get backfill material quite as closely as you'd like. It makes for more hand work or work with a skid loader.

Controlling where you place material is very important, especially when you get to the final six inches of black dirt. With the Rockit blade, you can carry a load and just spread it right where you want it. It really makes a difference. A lot of times, we'd have to come in and finish with a skid steer, but now we just get right in there and get it done.
