Winter erosion and summer foot traffic take a toll on the beaches of Washington County, Minnesota, and it is Paul Sprigstroh's responsibility to get them back into shape every spring. As the county's DOT Transportation coordinator, Springstroh specifies equipment purchases to optimize operational efficiencies. The Rockit Power Blade has proven to be a real timesaver for the county. With the Power Blade™ attachment, our operators can back the dozer into the water, to the top of the tracks, run the blade wings out, into the U-position, and carry the material up the bank and back onto the beach. The power wings on the blade make the dozer a much more productive machine by allowing the operator to push more material per pass and by controlling the placement of the material. This means reduced operating time and less wear and tear on the dozer. I am confident we made the right decision to purchase the Rockit Power Blade, as it has exceeded our expectations.
